Member Information
ParentSays collects personal information when you register as a member. You may register to use our site by only providing us with your email address, password and a nickname. For privacy purposes, your email address is never shown to other users on our site and only serves as your login. Users will only be able to identify you by your nickname in our community.

To improve and enhance your use of the site, ParentSays also asks for other optional personal information such as your name, where you live, your birthday and information about your children.

Children
If you are 13 years old and younger, please do not use this site or provide any data to us.

Registered members can enter optional children information such as age and gender to improve their online experience at ParentSays. Members can review, edit and delete information relating to their children at any time by editing their Member Profile.

Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that a Web site stores on your computer's hard drive. ParentSays uses cookies to personalize your experience, including but not limited to tracking your site use. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a Web site that issued the cookie to you. We do not store any personal information in your cookie. Contents And Ratings
As a registered member, you can publish reviews and other content. As an unregistered visitor, ParentSays may not allow you to rate or review items, or to view full reviews or member profiles. Your nickname is publicly displayed with reviews you publish. ParentSays can republish your content as described in the Terms of Use. Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personal information in a review or other content that can be viewed by other users, this information may be collected and used by others.

Information Sharing/Third Parties
We do not rent, sell, lease or share personal information about you to third parties.

We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf such as handling the processing and delivery of mailings, providing customer support, processing transactions or performing statistical analysis of our services. We will only provide those companies with the personal information they need to deliver their services. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

Communicating With Other Members
You may not harvest personal data from the site and, specifically, you may not use member information displayed on the site to ask members to join or contribute to your services.

Changing Your Preferences
You can always edit your member profile at any time. From the Member Home page, you can choose to publicly display certain information about yourself to other registered members. We also offer you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving the ParentSays Newsletter. But we reserve the right to send you some administrative emails such as service announcements, terms of use changes, or surveys to conduct research or potential new services to offer you, which are not optional and are considered part of your ParentSays membership.

Limits On Our Abilities
Our site is very complicated so we might inadvertently use or disclose your data in ways inconsistent with this statement. For example, a temporary software glitch could lead to public display of your personal data despite your preferences. We might also make ad hoc use of your data in ways not mentioned here. In these anomalous situations, your sole remedy is that we will try to rectify the anomaly as soon as we can.

Security
We use industry-standard security measures. Perfect security, however, does not exist on the Internet. Also, in theory, third parties could potentially intercept Internet transmissions containing your personal information and we do not control the privacy/security of transmissions to and from the site while in transit.
