What are Enhanced Profiles?
Enhanced Profiles let you quickly learn more about a topic without having to
leave the ParentSays site.
They can consist of one or more of the following:
- A short business description
- A bullet list of features
- A special offer for ParentSays users
Any content in an Enhanced Profile is provided by the business itself.
ParentSays does not verify or endorse any of the statements made in these profiles.
Please treat the information in Enhanced Profiles as you would any information provided by
a business about itself. (back to top)

Why is my review form reset after I leave the form and return using my browser's back button?
This is a function of your browser and cannot be controlled by ParentSays. If you
need to refer to another page while writing a review, we recommend you open another
browser window. (back to top)

|
|
Why can't I rate the helpfulness of a review even though I am signed in?
You can only rate the same review once. And you cannot rate your own review. If
you do not see a Rate It link on a review page, you have either rated it already
or you are the review's author. To prevent the manipulation of helpfulness
ratings, you cannot change a rating you have already submitted. (back to top)
|
|
Why should I submit a new topic?
Have you ever learned something new just by talking to someone new? Of course you
have because new people introduce new sets of experiences. But rather than rely
on chance to meet new parents, a key benefit of ParentSays is
that all the knowledge within each member can be captured and shared easily among
all members. By taking just a minute to submit a new topic to us, you can share
it with all ParentSays members and non-members. And you will benefit from others
doing the same. For your contributions, we reward you with Brownie Points.

|
Why don't you provide more detailed information on each topic?
There are many ways to provide you with information about what to do and buy for
kids. ParentSays has chosen a highly valuable yet different approach in
the form of member reviews. By doing so, we provide hard-to-find insider views from actual
users. In the future, we may add more basic information on each topic as a
convenience to users, but for now, we rely on the review contents to convey the
key information. (back to top)

|
When did ParentSays start?
ParentSays was launched in February 2003. (back to top)
|
|
Who started ParentSays?
ParentSays was started by longtime friends Big Daddy
and Stark. You can read our
profiles by clicking on our hyperlinked nicknames. (back to top)
|
|
Why did we create ParentSays?
We started ParentSays because as new parents, it was hard to find out what activities to do
with our children, what day care to use, where to get pictures taken, etc.
We collected this information as everyone before us had--slowly over time by
talking with lots of other parents. But we realized that an online community
could uniquely capture all this experience for everyone's benefit. So we set out
to create ParentSays. (back to top)
|
|
What age ranges of children do you cover?
We currently cover topics for children ages 0-5. As you know, the first
five years are the most important years for a child's development. They are also
the years when new parents have the most questions about what to do for them. (back to top)
|
|
What cities do you cover?
We currently cover all cities within the San Francisco Bay Area. This includes the city itself,
the Peninsula, South Bay, East Bay and North Bay. In the future, we hope to expand
beyond our hometown into other cities as well.
